Where is the event being held?
The 2026 National Collegiate Irish Dance Championships is being held in Madison, Wisconsin at the Memorial Union Shannon Hall (800 Langdon Street, Madison, WI 53706).

How long will the event take?
Doors will open at 8:00am, the event will run from 9:00am to 5:15pm. We estimate that the premier "Fun Dance" competition will commence at approximately 2:45pm. See the complete schedule below!

Will food be provided?
Food will be provided by the University of Wisconsin-Madison only for competing dancers. The Memorial Union houses multiple quick service restaurants such as Der Rathskeller, Strada, and Badger Market for other attendees to purchase food

What is the stage size?
The stage is 36 feet wide and 28 feet deep.

Where can tickets be purchased?
Tickets can be purchased in advance for full price ($12), student ($8), and youth ($8) here. Otherwise, tickets can also be purchased at the door for full price ($16), student ($12), and youth ($12)

Is there official event merchandise?
Yes, there is an official t-shirt which lists the names of all participating schools. This shirt can be preordered by March 23rd here. There will be a limited supply available for purchase at the event, so it is recommended to purchase ahead of time if possible. All online orders will be available for pick up in person on April 11th at the competition venue.

Where can teams stay overnight?
While the official hotel blocks have closed, we recommend dancers and traveling family members stay at the Hyatt Place Madison/Downtown which is a 15-minute walk from the venue.

What travel accommodations are provided?
Madison has an extensive bus system. The 80 bus line is free and has a stop directly outside the competition venue. Other lines (such as the A, B, C, and F) have stops approximately a 5 minute walk from the venue. These lines cost $2 and ride purchase can be made on the bus with a tappable credit card. We have been in contact with teams seeking additional support for their travel, but are not taking further requests at this time.

Are there different levels for each competition?
No, there is one overall event for each competition. There is no "Intermediate" or "Beginner" split since this is the National Championship.
